Mr. Michael Schmitz joined C&M International in August 2009. Prior to joining C&M International, Mr. Schmitz worked for UPS in their International Public Affairs office in Washington. At UPS, Mr. Schmitz focused on market access issues in the Asia-Pacific region and also supported congressional advocacy to advance U.S. trade initiatives for the services industry. Previously, Mr. Schmitz also worked at the U.S. Department of State, the Embassy of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, Greenberg Traurig LLP, and Romulus Global Issues Management.

Mr. Schmitz received his B.A. (cum laude) in International Affairs with a concentration in international economics and a minor in Chinese Language from the Elliott School of International Affairs at The George Washington University. Mr. Schmitz has also spent extensive time abroad, as a Rotary International Exchange Student in Liège, Belgium, where he gained proficiency in French, and in Beijing and Jining, China, where he taught English to children and adults.
